Prefabricated drainage channels are very common in daily life and play a significant role. However, many people are unfamiliar with the drainage methods for prefabricated drainage channels. Today, drainage channel manufacturers will share several drainage methods for your reference.
- Open drainage ditches: Excavate various levels of drainage channels to form a network of ditches. Water flows from field ditches (soil moisture ditches, furrows, rice agriculture ditches) into conveyance ditches (main ditches, branch ditches, trunk ditches), and finally into discharge areas (rivers, lakes, seas).
- Open drainage ditches without cover plates: Open drainage ditches without cover plates are generally installed along the perimeter of the exterior walls of basements. The width of the drainage ditch is usually 100mm. During basement floor construction, positioning and layout should be done first, followed by formwork construction.
After the concrete is poured on the ground, a 20mm thick M20 pre-mixed cement mortar (mixed with 5% waterproofing powder) should be applied to the bottom and sidewalls of the ditch. At the same time, a slope should be created at the bottom of the ditch with a gradient of 0.5%.
When using prefabricated drainage channels, it is important to adhere to the relevant instructions and maintenance requirements to ensure the continuous effectiveness of the drainage system. Before purchasing and installing, communicate with drainage engineers or suppliers to understand the specific usage methods and maintenance precautions for the drainage channels.
